HSUS v. Rose Acre Farms

HSUS filed suit against Rose Acre farms (for you long-time litigators, yes, same Rose Acre) last week before the Federal Trade Commission. The suit alleges Rose Acre engages in deceptive practices in describing how it treats its chickens in its egg marketing.

Colleague and U of I food law prof A. Bryan Endres was kind enough to forward a copy of the complaint, although I give up trying to upload it to this blogger site; I think the site just doesn't offer that particular functionality.

I haven't seen any actual news articles on it (at least not yet), but here's the HSUS press release (which also contains a copy of the complaint, btw) and a poultry lobby press release.
